Kia Carens Clavis EV gets Lifetime Battery Warranty
- Battery warranty now extends to 15 years with unlimited kilometres for first owners
- Existing owners can upgrade for a one-time fee of Rs 3,400
Kia India has introduced a lifetime battery warranty for the Carens Clavis EV, making it the second model from the brand after the recently launched Syros EV to get this extended cover. The warranty provides 15 years of unlimited-kilometre coverage for the first private owner of new Clavis EVs retailed from 1 August, 2026 onwards. Commercial and fleet vehicles, along with second owners, continue to be covered under the standard eight year or 1,60,000km terms, whichever comes first.

Owners who bought their Carens Clavis EV before this date aren't left out either. Kia is offering them the option to upgrade from the standard warranty to the extended 15-year, unlimited-kilometre plan by paying a one-time administrative fee of Rs 3,400, subject to a vehicle evaluation and applicable terms.
Kia says this warranty extension works alongside its existing Battery-as-a-Service programme, which already lets buyers separate the cost of the vehicle and the battery to bring down the upfront price. The brand has also been building out its charging ecosystem through K-Charge, which now aggregates over 20,000 charging points from more than 20 charging operators onto a single app.
